The well pump is the genius of your water supply system. A liquid level control is what lets your pump know to shut off when the tank has reached its full point, and when to turn on when the tank needs to be filled back to the proper level. Usually, these liquid level controls are automatic float-type switches that are installed into the tank. At A-1 Arthur’s Well Service we do offer pump service, however you can maintain your system on your own before anything drastic occurs simply by keeping an eye on a few things. One thing to look at frequently is water quality. It is always a good idea to check this occasionally for any bacteria contaminants. While you can take a sample to have it lab-tested, you can purchase a field test kit from us and even have one of our specialists test the water for you. This type of problem is not very likely, unless you have the system near a septic system or near the possible contamination from animals. Keeping an eye on this yourself will save you in expensive well repair costs in the future.
